How did I study for the PMP?
Okay so last year, I said to myself I would like to take the PMP exam because I wanted to strengthen my project & program management skill sets! I love a good project btw😂
I’ve led and supported projects professionally since 2017 in the logistics, manufacturing, retail and the technology space. In reality I’ve been leading projects since grade school in all honesty 😅.
On December 17, 2022 I passed the PMP.
How did I pass in terms of studying?
Took a project management course on Udemy (A PMP friend recommended Udemy)
Course I took: PMP Exam Prep Seminar. It was an “okay” course to get the foundation down. The quizzes are way too easy in comparison to the actual exam.
Skimmed over a few chapters in Andrew Ramdayal PMP Exam Prep Simplified and focused on the “PM Mindset” in the back of the book (borrowed this book from a friend that recently passed using it)
Watched 200 Agile Questions & Answers on YouTube. I would pause the video answer the question before the answer was revealed
Watched Andrew Ramdayal videos on YouTube as well
Practiced exam questions & mock up exams on PMI Study. The questions were demoralizing 😭😂, but I don’t regret paying for it.
Followed the PMP channel on Reddit. This was literally GOLD for me…this is where I learned about PMI Study Hall
Overall, the above is a quick & short overview of how I studied. If you have any questions or comments please drop them below. Good luck 😊
